Three months and teething

(Contains amazon affiliate links)  Three months old, a couple of rough weeks, a very tired mama and little man won't settle! A sudden sharpness as he noms on my hand reveals why!  Teething!  So as if the universe didn't have enough to throw at this mama with a couple rough weeks, broken husband and sleep regression we now have teething in the mix!  I was taken by surprise at this, I didn't have teething on my mind for at least another couple of months, but they can infact start teething from around 3 months, this comes with additional challenges.  A 3 month old baby doesn't have the same level of grasp as a 5/6month old baby, so whilst an older baby can hold a teether for a long time and get a really good chew little man just got frustrated.  Another challenge is you can't use bongela till 6 months! Fortunately there are other options, we found Ashton and parsons really helpful which is fine from 3 months, this is in both a gel and a powder.  So ...

Gravel gone wrong-family life challenges

Picture the scene. Glorious sunny day, long lazy morning, breakfast out and a walk through the charming grounds of Salisbury cathedral, quick check of little mans diary to see when he's next due a nap only to find a missed phone call from hubby.... Mamas first 5k

Hey guys,  Jess here with another short blog, so in the post birth winning at mama life phase I decided I was going to focus on getting back to fitness and with a tough mudder around the corner (August) I decided to set myself some smaller target races, one of which was a 5 km race.  I have already managed my way around a park run, and decided that as long as I ran as much of it as I could a 5 km race wasn't to much of a challenge, So i set about finding a local one.  There was a 5k race going on not to far from me and there was enough time to get ready for it, so we made plans with the family for a day out and little man cheered on his mama's first 5 km back.  We decided to take on the wallingford thames run, picking the 5k route that took you through the lovely little town of wallingford, and on parts of the thames path, it started and ended at the local school and there was a 10km option to which was 2 laps of the 5km course, this made is great for spectator...
